One long update
Months and months between ‘news’ posts. Is that good or bad? Whatever the verdict, I thought it was high time to write up one long update of what has been happening since my last news post.
Things have been quiet since the new year, with one large-ish project burning away in the background slowly but surely. I’m currently still available for commissions but I’m looking for longer term projects or employment. This year will see my attempts to creep in to the publishing and games industry, so wish me luck! :)
Locally, I provided the artwork for the Leeds Independent Bikes fringe event, set up by the lovely folk at Duke Studios. It’s amazing how one small project involving bikes has kind of grown and grown and garnered interest from so many people! I’m hoping to have prints of my 150 Bikes ready for sale during the Grand Depart.
Some new personal experiments have been taking place over on my Tumblr page, including sneak peeks at some game sprites I’m making and my first foray in to food illustration.
On a personal note, a close member of my family was recently diagnosed with cancer. We’re trying to stay really positive about the treatment, which starts soon, and hoping for the best possible outcome. It might explain any future unavailability, absentness, or flakiness, so please bear with me. I promise it will be worth it.
There you go. See you in…six months? xD
